A contemporary apartment that creates moments of intimacy, oasis of calm and pops of vibrant color which creates a sense of youthful energy and vibrancy into the space while respecting and preserving its structural and functional integrity.
Located on the 33rd floor of an apartment complex building in Mumbai, this 3-bedroom residence caters for a family of 5.
The client’s brief was to create a sense of grandeur throughout the entire space, timeless elegance with a distinct contemporary sensibility.
Entering the home feels like stepping into a warm embrace, awash in natural light and framed by sweeping hillside views.
The formal living room showcases a minimal and contemporary design, characterized by clean lines and customized furniture that add depth and character. The interplay of color and minimal decor creates a serene, inviting space ideal for entertaining guests. The floors are cladded in porcelain grey tiles, that contrast beautifully with soft cream-colored walls cladded with wallpaper, creating an inviting balance that instantly warms the space.
The kitchen incorporates dark shades, with the combination of black tiles and wooden laminate finishes for a striking contrast complementing one another while balancing the dark tones, ensuring the kitchen feels both stylish and practical.
Moving inward, we find the master bedroom in a wash of cream, ivory and white that perfectly complements the wall against the bed, classical wainscotting, and wooden flooring.
The parents’ bedroom dressed in a soft, neutral palette embodies a calm, restrained elegance with a tropical themed monochrome backdrop that stands tall and elevates the space with understated elegance.
For kids bedroom ,a muted color palette is elevated by bold brick cladded panels in intervals, accents and artwork, imbuing the space with character. This bedroom strikes a harmonious balance between minimal design and the kid’s personality, with the brick introducing just the right amount of frame, while preserving the house’s overall understated elegance. The chevron patterned wooden flooring used throughout all bedrooms enhances the warmth and creates a harmonious flow within the interiors.
