This Scandinavian-inspired apartment features shades of grey with minimal furniture which creates a serene, efficient, and inviting space.
Located on the 13th floor of an apartment complex building in Powai, a 1 bhk & 2 bhk was combined and converted into a 3 bhk residence for a family of three . The client’s brief was to focus on simplicity, generating warmth through wood accents, and minimalistic furniture pieces that ensures the space is not only beautiful but also functional, clutter-free, easy on maintenance yet stylish,offering a comfortable and tranquil environment for everyday living.
The open layout enhances the inflow of light and fresh air, enriching the apartment’s bright ambience. The flow between these areas fosters a sense of unity and connection, seamlessly linking the living area with the dining on one side and the breakfast /bar counter on the other with a mantle against the window wall serving as a focal point of the space, as soon as one enters the living area .The living room features a monochromatic palette in shades of grey and beige with furniture, designed with a sleek, understated style. A sleek sofa ideally sits within the space with a backdrop that features the cantilevered counter with bar unit besides, creating the perfect setting for relaxed evenings, complemented by bespoke furniture.
The tranquil ambience is further enhanced by a minimalist TV unit, a rug, and concrete flooring, all accentuated with touches of greenery & sparse décor pieces that complement the clean lines of the furniture. The hallway connecting the bedrooms is adorned with soft, neutral tones. The doors finished in light colored wood provide a subtle contrast. A modern yet timeless kitchen space that embodies elegance and modern functionality, using subtle green subway tiles and natural veneer finishes as the central feature of the space. The master bedroom serves as a serene retreat, where a palette of soft greys, warm yellows, and plush furnishings creates an inviting atmosphere that calms the senses. The daughter’s bedroom embraces a minimalist aesthetic with soft blues & neutrals. The bed wall features a linear patterned wainscotting that adds depth & character to the space with a cozy alcove designed especially to foster both functionality and give her a cocoon like feeling. The guest bedroom offers a calm, understated aesthetic while maximizing functionality in a small space.
This space radiates the homeowner’s personality-carefully curated yet effortlessly lived-in-striking a perfect balance between comfort, style, and modern sophistication.
