Located along the serene coastline of Kashid, The Wave Whisper is a story of a beach house spanning 12000sq.ft with 4 bedrooms, a living and dining space and a family lounge overlooking the courtyard, a massive lush green lawn and a relaxing swimming pool, where architecture narrates multiple experiences.

Embracing Nature’s Grandeur

From its inception, the vision for this villa was to harness the unparalleled views of the beach while creating a warm, inviting atmosphere akin to a second home. Challenges such as levelling uneven contours and navigating the surrounding structures were met with innovative design solutions. All major openings were oriented towards the sea-facing direction, the design effortlessly maximised panoramic views while maintaining privacy and exclusivity. Space planning and managing the circulation was a crucial part of zoning.

The design philosophy revolves around modern aesthetics that harmonises with its natural surroundings. A striking 24 ft double-height living room, consciously crafted by splaying the top floor family lounge room became the heart of the house. This architectural feat not only enhances visual connectivity but also provides a 14 ft long covering for the verandah on the other side, ensuring comfort and functionality across all seasons. Play of masses created spatial harmony and ensured functional elegance throughout the house.

Careful zoning divides the villa into distinct areas, each catering to different sensory experiences. The entrance, a free-standing wall with louvred doors, sets the tone for what lies within: a layered structure that balances openness with privacy. The gate opens to a lush green lawn and a swimming pool, which leads to the central living room. Two large 30 ft windows in the living room open to the courtyard on the opposite side, creating visually connected layers of space. This design allows for maximum natural light and cross ventilation throughout the house. The kitchen and utilities are strategically tucked away next to the entrance, ensuring uninterrupted chaos from all the habitable spaces. Every room, including the expansive 24 ft high living room and 12 ft high bedrooms, offers unobstructed views and a sense of grandeur that surpasses typical residential apartment design.

The architectural design concept of the house revolves around a strong interplay of masses and open floor plans, simplifying circulation within each functional space. A strong emphasis on visual and physical connectivity is maintained throughout the house. The double-height living room, being the heart of the house, is both physically and visually accessible from the lawn, swimming pool, and courtyard. This ensures a seamless horizontal connection between the indoors and outdoors. Additionally, there is vertical visual connectivity, designed from the family lounge to the double-height living room and the courtyard below.

Modern Minimalism meets Natural Charm

The interiors of the house create a perfect blend of drama and relaxation, with the calmness of a white exterior amidst the noise of nature. Nature, being the focal point, demands the silence and peace reflected in the house. Subtle accents of colour pop through soft furnishings and art pieces with the traditional approach of using wooden furniture enhances its aesthetic charm. This holiday home is designed to evoke a feeling of being home away from home.
