Project Brief
In a city where space constraints are not uncommon, it was an exhilarating experience to design this 10,000 sq ft residence located in Mumbai. Brief was to design every space catering to individual family member’s taste while still being cohesively tied together by the principle of design. The industrial lights by renowned designer Aldo Bernardi acts as a sculptural element to the informal entertainment space.
This family-cum-entertainment room, with its teal and brown sofas and other comfortable seating, lends a sudden sense of contrast to the polished brass coffee table. It not only casts a beautiful reflection on the ceiling but also adds an interesting contrast to the ruggedness of the industrial lights. Although the space exudes opulence, there is still that sense of understated everyday feel. The home which reflects the individual tastes and personalities of each family member.
